Day 2 (01/31/05)
After a very restful sleep, I got up at 9:30 & Judy at 10:30, feeling much better than the day before.
We promptly left for the Animal Kingdom for the afternoon. The first thing we did was to eat at the Rainforest Cafe and had a delicious meal.
In spite of how I look, I have had nothing to drink.
By this time it was getting late, and the Animal Kingdom closes at 5:00 PM, so we hurried to get to the Safari Ride which goes through a very realistic replica of the Africa.
Excuse the photography, but our vehicle did not stop for picture taking & I had to grab these on the fly, sliding from one side of the vehicle to the other.
At the conclusion we had just enough time to make it to the last showing of a mini production of the Lion King, just as it was starting.
By the time we got out of the Lion King the park was closing, so we got on a bus and went to the Magic Kingdom, which stayed open until 8:00 PM. The bus ride was fairly long & only took us to the transit center, where we got on the monorail, which was only supposed to be a short ride. Unfortunately, after we got on it shut down & had to restart, then on the way to the park it stopped twice to test itself (I really don't know what it was doing, but it took quite a while to get there).
It was about 6:30 PM by this time so we stopped at a restaurant & made 7:05 PM reservations for dinner. This just gave us time to go to Tomorrow Land & hop a space ship for a ride down Space Mountain. This is a pretty wild ride in the dark, but not nearly as wild as the Rock'n Rolling Coaster we rode the day before.
Dinner, as most of the food we have eaten here, was some of the best of kind that we have had. As we finished dinner the park was closing, so we got on a bus (standing room only) for the long ride back to our room. Needless to say we were very tired so called it a day shortly after arriving back.
